How to create good feng shui in your home for love
How to feng shui a living room for better communication
How to feng shui a living room
I recently had a consultation with a client (one half of the pair is 6’-8” which explains the very high TV and pictures!) who was looking to improve communication and to get herself in a full-time committed relationship with her very tall boyfriend. She used my book to “fire up” the relationship corner of her home, but there was something missing. So off I go to figure out what.
These photos are the before of her home’s relationship corner (back right-hand area from when you walk in the front door – shown is a back door) when I arrived. As you can see, the furniture is not “in communication” with each other, but rather all focusing on the TV. Nobody is in the same room as outlined by the carpet (tip: at least have the front legs of all furniture ON the rug to make the room/the people feel cozy and connected) and the dark chair was actually “cut off “of the conversation because the pedestrian circulation is cutting between it and the rest of the furniture. In this case, I’d say that the treadmill has more conversational clout than the chair.
The pictures below show how with just a little tweaking and moving of stuff, you can get the space to read more “together,” “in communication,” and generally more functional of a space than before. Now, the treadmill has its own room on a separate carpet and is the item psychologically cut off from the rest of the living room space. (This is a good way to define and separate two different functions in one space for those of you who live in studio apartments and small spaces.
When I tweak homes like this I tell my clients to get back to me in around 6 weeks to tell me what happened. My client’s intention was to get into a committed relationship whether it was with her current boyfriend or not (but her preference was with him) so with this intention, we watch to see if things get better or worse with him. The more you can allow the energies to work on your behalf without gripping onto what you think is the best outcome, the faster actual better outcome will find you.
Also, when it comes to relationships of course, you all know that I really get nitty-gritty in the bedroom. Well in her case, she had it so nailed down there was no need to tweak anything. All I will say is that the picture of fireworks in the fame and reputation gua of the home which fell in her bedroom was working for her. 😉 So, take it from her…feng shui works! 😉
